In source detection tasks parameters are passed by parameter files. Parameter files can be created and modified by the commands CREATE/PARFIL and WRITE/PARFIL, respectively. An experiment identifier can be specified to get default values for the experiments ROSAT,PSPC, ROSAT,HRI, and ROSAT,WFC, respectively. In section 5.2.2, 5.2.5, 5.2.6, 5.2.7, 5.2.8, and 5.2.15 default values are given for ROSAT PSPC. For the experiments ROSAT HRI and ROSAT WFC the instrument specific parameters are given in Table 5.27.
