For sources detected in an image with the local and the map detection technique the background counts per image pixel are determined and written to the source tables lslst1.tbl and mslst1.tbl in the column :BACKG. The maximum likelihood source detection determines the background counts per image pixel from the (smoothed) background image at the best fit position in case the parameter START_POSITION is set to user_list or merged_list. The value for the background counts per image pixel is written to the table column :BG_MP in the tables solst.tbl and mllst.tbl.
