Table B.1: MIDAS Standard Image Header
Notes:
- Presently not used by EXSAS.
- The default value in EXSAS is 2.
- For images created with EXSAS , this descriptor contains the coordinates
of the pixel at the lower left corner of the image,
expressed in the coordinate system indicated by CUNIT.
- The binsize is expressed in the units of the coordinate system as
given by CUNIT.
- This string indicates the coordinate system that is selected as
world coordinate system for the image.
In the instance of data images, the choice is between detector
pixels (DET_PIX) and sky pixels (SKY_PIX) depending
on which relevant photon parameters (XDET,YDET or XPIX,YPIX)
were used by the EXSAS binning routines.
For more details on the MIDAS Image Header see the
MIDAS Environment document
(appendix A).
Table B.2: MIDAS Standard Table Header
Notes:
- For a file of type PET the number of defined rows corresponds to
the number of photons written to the table.
For a file of type BIN the number of defined rows corresponds to
the number of bins of each data set written to the table.
- The TLABLnnn strings are character descriptors containing
specific information for each column. `nnn' is the column number
in the range 001,...,TBLCONTR(3).
The label for each column is defined by the user
for files of type BIN. For files of type PET the standard
labels are taken
(see Table B.1).
- Generally, the formats can be selected by the user.
Default formats as provided by PROJECTION are F14.4
(standard column labelled S_TI and TIME), E12.5
(data columns, i.e. counts per bin) and I4, I6 or I8 for
integer parameters.
- A descriptor with TBLCONTR(3) elements.
For more details on the MIDAS Table Header see the
MIDAS Environment document
(appendix A).
