Frequency-Time Image Conversion to rms

   

The command CONVERT/POWER_IMAGE takes in input the rough tex2html_wrap_inline19122 -T image which comes in output from the command MAKE/POWER_SPECTRUM (segmented option), extracts the homogeneous frequency-time part [@3,@2:>,>] and converts it to rms units. The output frame can be displayed in contour lines with the MIDAS command PLOT/CONTOUR

Each value of the power tex2html_wrap_inline19128  is transformed in the following way

where tex2html_wrap_inline19132   is the white noise level (input from the user), tex2html_wrap_inline19134  is the frequency and t is the time. The syntax of the command is:

CONVERT/POWER_IMAGE inframe outframe [wnoise]
