Fractal geometry has excited much interest in recent years. Generating the type of intricate pattern given by a Mandelbrot curve is a computation--intensive task, perhaps requiring hours of CPU time. A command is included for experimentation, CREATE/ART_IMAGE, with which one can create Mandelbrot and Julia curves. See relevant help files for details.
