The EXSAS help support is completely embedded in the MIDAS interactive help facility. For an EXSAS user there is no difference in getting help on the various EXSAS or MIDAS commands. Help can be obtained at any time starting from the EXSAS/MIDAS prompt by typing the word HELP and the relevant command string. Adding a qualifier to the HELP command allows to access information on different MIDAS data and command structures, e.g. keywords, descriptors, qualifiers etc. For a more thorough description of the MIDAS on-line help the reader is referred to paragraph 3.4.4 in the ESO Operating Manual No. 1, MIDAS Volume A: The System, but the best idea is probably to type HELP HELP.
A further facility within the MIDAS environment providing additional help is given by the TUTORIAL command. Tutorials show standard data reduction tasks or present the effects of using different image display options. Currently, there exist two EXSAS specific Tutorials.
In EXSAS the command NEWS/EXSAS provides informations on new features in the system.
For users at the RSDC additional information on EXSAS/MIDAS is available via the ``info'' System (just type ``info'').
