It should be mentioned that there is the possibility to manipulate the statistical error, which is derived from observed photon events for each data point. In addition to this statistical error, a global error can be added either linear and/or quadratic to the statistical error of each data point. But this procedure is very dangerous and one has really to be aware of what one is doing.
