This Apollo 13 image was taken as it returned to Earth on 14 April 1970 immediately after rounding the Moon. The Baja Peninsula and northern Mexico are visible, as is the Southwestern United States. Most of the rest of North America is covered by clouds. Apollo 13 splashed down safely in the Pacific 3 days after this picture was taken. The Earth is 12,740 km in diameter and north is at 12:30.
